VEHICLE RENTAL POLICIES
CAR INSURANCE
At RENT A CAR ANSE we offer 2 types of comprehensive insurance:
1. Comprehensive insurance with excess (CDW)
In this type of insurance, the excess will range between €1,500 and €2,500, depending on the car model rented.
The excess or deposit refund will be processed once the vehicle is returned and inspected. This period can vary between 7 and 14 days, depending on the lessee’s bank entity, due to the operational processes of the lessee’s entity.
Under this insurance type, the customer is responsible and liable for any damages to the vehicle up to the excess amount paid.
2. Comprehensive insurance without excess 100% (SCDW + Total Relax)
This type of insurance covers everything except negligence or reckless driving by the driver.
The customer does not need to leave an excess or deposit. This insurance includes tires and glass coverage; the customer is not responsible for any expenses.
THINGS TO NOTE:
In both insurance modalities we offer, loss or theft of personal belongings transported and left inside the vehicle is not covered. Therefore, from RENT A CAR ANSE, we recommend not leaving any valuables inside the vehicle and always ensuring it is properly locked.
FUEL POLICY
Our fuel policy is simple and practical. When picking up the car, the customer must verify the fuel tank level, and upon its return, it must be returned with the same fuel level as when the vehicle was picked up.
TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
The lessee will be responsible for immediately paying any fines resulting from a violation during the rental period. They must inform the lessor of any fines imposed on the vehicle or the driver during this period. The lessor will charge €50 for notifying and managing any fines imposed on the lessee. Payment of fines is not covered by any insurance purchased. If authorities impound the vehicle due to an action or omission by the lessee, they will be responsible for indemnifying the lessor for all expenses and losses incurred.
IN CASE OF BREAKDOWN
In case of mechanical breakdown, we commit to providing a new vehicle of equal or higher category.
- Once the vehicle breakdown is detected, you must contact us at 619 514 509, providing the correct vehicle location.
- We will have 3 hours to make the vehicle exchange.
- If it is not possible to provide a replacement vehicle, you will be refunded the proportional part of the lost rental day.
- The lessee does not have the right to request any compensation or claim.
IN CASE OF ACCIDENT DURING THE RENTAL PERIOD
In the event of an accident during the rental period, the company RENT A CAR ANSE is not obligated to provide a replacement vehicle if the lessee has not previously contracted for one.
If a replacement vehicle is provided, we may claim an excess or deposit from the lessee for the new vehicle. This excess could range between €2,500 and €5,000; regardless of any excesses or deposits paid previously.
IN CASE OF BREAKDOWN OR ACCIDENT OUTSIDE OF THE AGREED RENTAL PERIOD
Once the contractual relationship between the lessee and the lessor (RENT A CAR ANSE) has ended, the lessee will be responsible for 100% of the payment for repairs and associated expenses related to the vehicle in any accident outside of the agreed rental period.
JURISDICTION
Any discrepancies that may arise between the lessor and the lessee shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Palma de Mallorca, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction.
